To coincide with the 60th anniversary of the ZDF strand Das kleine Fernsehspiel, silent green Kulturquartier is presenting the festival “Was anderes machen (The Home and the Movie)”. Television and film culture are grasped as one here, as the Kleines Fernsehspiel and Arsenal come together. Alongside a symposium and an exhibition from November 16th-26th at silent green, films will be shown at Arsenal that are exemplary of the innovative approach to cinema of both institutions and which received their premieres at the Berlinale Forum.

WINTER ADÉ: Women and girls of very different ages, social classes and professions speak about openly and directly about their hopes, yearnings and disappointments. Before the backdrop of East German landscapes and architectures – incorporated into a train journey from Zwickau in the Ore Mountains northwards to the island of Rügen – a impression of life and the mood in the DDR of great immediacy is created – one year before it fell apart.
